Your workplace team’s mission
The Auckland Feetbeat Walking Challenge kicks off on 1 March and runs throughout Walk Month March. It is all about teams competing against each other whilst virtually walking around New Zealand. You can compete against other workplaces, or enter a number of teams from your workplace to create a bit of fun, motivating competition. By walking at least 30 minutes a day you and your colleagues will be walking yourselves to a tter, healthier workplace.

In association with Walk Auckland at the beginning of each term the Waitemata Local Board reenacts an English and Welsh tradition of a formal perambulation of the parish boundary.
It is an opportunity to acknowledge mana whenua connections, share knowledge of the board area, and ensure there have been no “encroachments” from our neighbouring Albert-Eden and Orakei Local Boards!
All are welcome to walk and talk together with board members as we explore our community from east to west
START TIME: Please arrive at Meola Reef ready to start walking at 10am.
START POINT: Meola Reef car park.
END POINT: Pt Resolution Bridge
WHAT TO BRING: You will need sturdy shoes, water bottle, sun protection, lunch money/snacks.
APPROXIMATE TIMES: 11am Nixon Park (toilet break) midday Lot 23, Minnie Street (lunch break); 1.45pm Meet Orakei Local Board members on the corner of St Marks Road and Remuera Road; Walk ends on Pt Resolution Bridge approx. 3.30pm
Walk the entire boundary over 4 – 5 hours or join at any point along the way.
