Discussion

The Commuter maps safety audit for Ak Transport has been completed by Sandra and Andy.

Parking in Freemans Bay was discussed to form an opinion to take to the FB Residents meeting on Parking.  The roads are being treated like a parking building.  We see 3 types of parkers, resident, visitors and trades people, casual and commuters.

Unitary Plan.  We need to submit on keeping front walls small and active garden fronts not high blank walls to the street.  Driveway s that have views to the footpath to stop injury and when drive and footpath are on a slope ensure that the change in slope is not dramatic.

How do we increase Ak Transport spend for Pedestrians?  Ask for more way finding signs, walking maps, counting of walkers, water foundations and drinking fountains.  Signs will demonstrate how easy and close places are to walk.

Ponsonby Central exit to Richmond Rd is a nightmare for walkers.  Approach Andy Davies the owner for a solution.

Fish Markets have a new 200mm fence in the gardens which can be a hazard.  Investigate this.

Make a submission to AT on the Code of Practice Consultation, Andy.
