Meeting Dec 11

Present.  Andy, Graeme, Elizabeth, Gay

Graeme told us about the Waterfront Auckland Westhaven boardwalk stakeholders meeting.

Paul told us about the Consensus Building Groups work on funding the Auckland Plans transport projects.

Jacobs Ladder bridge is opening on Saturday.

Ponsonby Rd Master Plan group was reported by Elizabeth.

Meeting Nov 13 2012

Present Andy and Elizabeth, Appoligies from Rob, Graeme and Rob.

Chatted about the Howe st, K Rd intersection.  Andy will do an audit.

9 October meeting

Payments approved, $245.15 contribution to the Ponsonby Rd 40kph project, room hire

Walking Map progress – update from Mr Easte

Andy to contact Steve Patton on Cycling Motorways, we fear walkways will be rebadaged as cycleways.

Draft Public Transport Plan.  Looks OK

Ak Strategic Walkway Network – see the Ak Council website.

Meeting September 11

Payments approved. Room hire and URL for 2 years.

Lottery Grant money has now been spent with the work on the new website.

Robert told us of a Auckland Transport project on Richmond Rd, this could include a trail of the Give Way to Pedestrians concept.

Andy is running the Ponsonby Rd 40kph awareness project.  The Speed feedback trailer is on the road for the month.  Pace car stickers are being handed out.  There is a Tweed ride on Sunday 16 and Saturday 22 is Market Day where we and Ak Transport will have a stand.

It was decided to use the $1600 Lottery Grant money to build a new website

Ask Lottery Board to approve this variation and contract The Connector to build it

Law Change to Give Way to Pedestrians

Robert updated us on the Canadian laws and Andy reported back on progress after the meeting with Minister Bridges

Ponsonby road 40kph 3rd birthday in September

We are working with the Ponsonby Business assoc and Ak Transport toward a month of events.

No Exit Streets but through ways for walkers and cyclists

Debbie Lang of Auckland transport is working on this.
